Well we did it. The last day was from Rugeley to Burton on Trent. It was meant to be 13 miles but it ended up being 16 miles!! I was sooo tired by the end. Dad and Paul kept on saying we were 'nearly there'
This picture was the start of the walk and the field behind us was what we spent most of the day crossing. Sometimes they had potatoes in, sometimes peas in, sometimes cows in.
Compared to the first two days which was walking along a disused railway and a canal this day was spent crossing fields and following the instructions was a nightmare.
Everytime we walked into another field the instructions were "walk along edge of the field until you get to a metal gate'. Unfortunately there wasnt usually a metal gate. My Dad said that was something to do with the fact that the walk was designed for the Millenium and we were the only people to have walked it since then!!
This was just before Dad and Gary had to bash a whole load of nettles so that we could find the path
This was me trying to find the path!
Anyway it took us 8 hours to walk the 16 miles and we eventually finished in Burton on Trent in the pouring down rain. We were all very sore but happy to have finished the walk
My Dad, Paul and Gary got very excited about the sign in Burton
Anyway it was really hard work and I had a sore back and legs by the time we had finished. Thank you to everybody who sponsored me. It is not too late to sponsor me on
